    We all associate Johnny Depp with his pirates of the carribean role. Here we get to see Johnny Depp in a different role and get to know how versatile an actor he is. It is an action drama one should never miss out on. The strategies, setups and shootouts are smoothly staged. You need to watch the film at least twice to get a hang of the dialogues. Go with friends to watch enemies, i mean Public Enemies. » read more

    When the film is a biographical sketch, this is a problem most directors run up against: where to draw the line between the person and the persona. From a director like Michael Mann, pairing actors such as Depp (playing the charismatic bank robber John Dillinger) against Bale (cast as Special Agent Purvis), you expect to get more of the first. Surprisingly, Mann keeps his film focused mostly on the latter.

    In 1933, the fourth year of the Great Depression, the heat is on J Edgar Hoover (played by Crudup), then the director of the Bureau of Investigations, to capture ... » read more

    Digital HD thing!

    It actually immerses you a lot. The battle scenes, the gun shots, the camera work, the action sequences, were very exciting... very real. Personally though, I enjoyed a lot!
    I wasn't expecting much when I went to this film. I am a major Johnny Depp fan, I believe his acting is amazing. I loved the cinematography for this film. The dark natural lighting effect made me feel like I was really there. I felt like I was watching an old time movie.

    Great accurate story line, great cinematography, great camera work, great action sequences, ... » read more

    Plot: 2 Camera Work: 2.5 Acting: 3.5 Directing: 3

    Overall: 2.5/5

    The story of legendary Depression-era outlaw John Dillinger (Johnny Depp)—the charismatic bank robber whose lightning raids made him the number one target of J. Edgar Hoover's fledgling FBI and its top agent, Melvin Purvis (Christian Bale), and a folk hero to much of the public.

    The storyline and the narration part weren’t much impressive as the expectations were very high from this movie. It just drags on and on and on, I was seriously considering giving up on it and ... » read more

    This is unbelievable that this is actually a real life story. Don’t know why that the story of this movie resemble me one of our Bollywood film. Can’t figure out which one, but if you can please let me know.

    The story of the film goes like this;

    This film is actually based on the era 1933 where a guy name ‘John Dillinger’ (Johnny Depp) was very famous for his Bank Robbery. He was so smart, so sharp and so fast that even the FBI was unable to catch him. And if by chance they succeed in doing that, he escapes very fast. He was having his own attitude, ... » read more
