I know all this because Mr. R. D. SHUKLA was my grand - father. As a kid I used to feel proud to be known as a grand -son of "THUNDER wale Shuklaji" (means Shukla ji of THUNDER news weekly). How ever I remember three instances where I felt proud of his connection with movies. First was that he was buying "Mango" fruit from "Kaisar baugh" Fruit Market in Lucknow,he enquired about sweetness of fruit, the fruit vendor replied that fruits were as sweet as his acting in movies. Second instance was on a train when a small boy was watching out side , as train was going to start, he holded the boy securely and handed over him to his parents, who immediately recognised him. Third was in 1976. I accompanied him to Mumbai. I wanted to see film shootings.Film Director Umesh Mathur took us to Navrang Studio. Umesh Mathur introduced my grand father to "Mukree". Mukree said that as a student he used to bunk school to see movies of Dileep Saheb and my grand - father's.
