    Not easy to forget!!

In 80’s Govind Nihalani made a film called “Party” which was based on socialite party catering some serious issues of that time. Then there were few Hollywood films like “Dude where is my car”, “hangover” etc which dealt with over drinking in the night and not remembering anything in the morning. Now Saurabh Shukla brings us a mixture of all the above films as a basic theme but with different situation in his new film “Raat Gayi Baat Gayi”. Let’s find out if the film is out and out copy of any Hollywood film or has its own merits to boost about.

    Kab Aayi Kab Gayi!

This is the third film as a director directed by Saurabh Shukla. His last film was “Chehra” starring Dino Morea and Bipasha (Yuck!), prior to that and his very first film was “Mudda” starring Arya Babbar, Rajat Kapoor & others (Double Yuck!). It seems like Saurabh Shukla and Rajat Kapoor shares a good dostana between them, and so does along with Vinay Pathak and Ranvir Shorey. And so does the “Bheja Fry” team has returned back with a purely adult topic with a slogan “What the hell happened last night?” for just to entertain us in a very simple way.

    Too Forgettable!

Raat Gayi Baat Gayi rating: 4 out of 10

The first film of the year, Raat Gayi Baat Gayi brings to screen the story of those thousands of us who partied like crazy on 31st night and for obvious reasons (!), can’t remember anything about how ludicrous the previous night was! The team of parallel cinema maestros is back with their team mate Saurabh Shukla as the director. Though Saurabh’s last directorial venture was a disaster but he’s not that bad this time around. The film stars smooth, sexy and suave middle aged Rajat Kapoor, his side kick urf buddy Vinay Pathak, Neha Dhupia, Iravati Harshe, Anu Menon (or Lola ... » read more

    Day was good….Night was Ok!

Raat Gayi Baat Gayi rating: 4 out of 10

The screenplay writers, Saurabh Shukla and Rajat Kapoor, falls woefully short in terms of generating interest. Saurabh Shukla makes a sassy attempt to tell you how. He is actually holding a mirror to the Page 3 married-sorts, many of whose relationships look picture-perfect but are actually a sham. Yet sadly, the film that begins so smartly -- great characterisations, witty dialogues, funky situation -- peters off into a somewhat pheeka climax. In fact, till three-fourths of the movie, there's not much movement in the story, except for a few humour-laden sequences. It ... » read more

    Good performances…delivers a good movie!

Raat Gayi Baat Gayi rating: 0 out of 10

Each character is well-etched and Shukla has drawn sincere performances from his entire cast. Every member of the cast - Neha Dhupia, Rajat Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Dalip Tahil, Irawati Harshe Mayadev, Anu Menon, Navniit Nisshan and Aamir Bashir - delivers fine performances. Especially Rajat and Vinay.

Watch out for some fine performances by the entire cast. Veterans like Rajat Kapoor, Vinay Pathak and Ranvir Shorey are eminently watchable as always. But I think it is Neha Dhupia who is fast emerging as the natty new wave girl with her newfound talent. She looks ... » read more

    Take the message for you

Raat Gayi Baat Gayi rating: 8 out of 10

Before watching this movie the expectation was set, because it was the same bheja fry team. After the 2 hours experience, the expectation is fulfilled from director Saurabh Shukla with powerpacked performance from Rajat Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Neha Dhupia and all. This movie carries different kind of message for people in different phases me life. If you are single or happily married or not so happily married, you can take the message for you. Performance brilliant, excellent screenplay executed in a nice way. A must watch 4/5 » read more
