Shahrukh the Superstar can take a back seat coz Shahkukh the actor has arrived. Even after so many hit movies, we always used to associate SRK movies with Shahrukhgiri. When questioned about his acting credentials, SRK fans had only 2 movies to boast of - Swades and Chak De! NOw they can add one more movie to that list, RAB NE BANA DI JODI. Aditya Chopra, after a flood of flops as producer, decides to take things in his own hands. He writes the story, screenplay & dialogues as well as directs this much awaited film. And suceeds, he does, to a larger extent. Shahrukh excels in the dual characters - Suri & Raj(Naam to Suna HI HOga). And thankfully, both r not Shahrukh himself. If he gets into the skin of Suri with impeccable mannerisms, body language and voice. Then as Raj, he is totally opposite with more extrovertly mannerisms, body language, even changes his voice a bit. Truly awesome. Watch this movie for heart-warming dialogues, which is Adi's forte. Unlike all Yashraj movies that we r used to, there r no flashy sets, colourful, gawdy, designer wear and unnecessary song-&-dance sequences. Don't expect a razmatazz show, a la Yashraj films. Its SUBTLE CINEMA with just 3 characters, SRK, Anushka and Vinay Pathak. Lovely music always helps. Haule Haule, Dance Pe Chance and of course Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte. But, this movie may not be liked by all youngsters. u require to have a certain sensibility to understand this film. Put all the loopholes aside, it's not a reality remember, it;s a fantasy. C'mon when was the last time u could sit and watch a movie with your entire family without any discomfort of any sorts in any scene!!!!!
