Chapter No. Torture: Dimag Ka Radio…Bajne de zara!
Himesh is always famous for his flop films in terms of acting. Whether it would be his debu film, or his remake 2nd film, or in this unusual and quite interesting topic “Radio”.
The team has chosen quite rare, somewhat curious, and very attractive topic, “Radio”. But I guess rather than making a love story with the support of USP called Radio, they would instead show us something on the life of RJ’s or something related to the “Radio Industry”. Like recently a film was released “Hello” on the life of the Call Centre’s people and etc, similarly this can be made too. But on the contrary, both the film were super duper flop, only reason for that – Bad storyline.
The film has the story about one guy, Himesh as Vivan Shah, who is a successful Radio Jockey, and recently got divorced with his wife Pooja (Sonal Sehgal). Due to this he decided not to engage on any relationships. Now one fine he just accidently somehow met with the girl name Shanaya (Shenaz). Now again as per our filmi funda rule, accident increases, they both get attracted to each other, became friends, Shenaz also became as RJ, Shenaz fell in love with Himesh, and just so on. Now the weird twist arises now when Shenaz family members think that Himesh is his boyfriend, and until and unless Himesh agrees this, Shenaz will be under house arrest. Now Shenaz’s Radio show was on a high peek and to save the Company’s reputation, Himesh agrees that he is her Boyfriend. (What an Idiotic Storyline). Now after this you guys know better than me. Himesh ex wife re-enters in Himesh life, but at final end (God! Tab tak itna pakaya na!) Sonal Sehgal realizes that Himesh and Shenaz are both in love with each other, and so finally (Thank God finally) Sonal is out and Shenaz in. And haan forgot to say, after that Happily ever after…but for them, not for us.
Only one: Thank God the 30secs Ads and Promos are stopped now which were coming every now and then everywhere before the release.
So many: Himesh’s once again awful performance; totally disgusting screenplay; except for one, Music was such a yawning session; direction was even more disaster; and rest of the cast were came for free I think so.
Apart from the previous plus point, there is also one more, which goes in the hand of Shenaz. Her performance was really quite good and I think that she had improved a lot better than her previous films. Her expressions, her unconditional love against Vivan Shah were so much convincing.
Height of torture in the film:
When at the end, Himesh is standing on a ladder, Shenaz is watching him from down, and Himesh sings “Bas ek Problem se hoon Kaapta, Yeh Dish Antenna badalwa de apne Baaaaap kaaaa….” Arghh still feeling like hitting my head in front this computer!
Please watch it as it will be a good exercise for you head by hitting it over and over again.
