    Switch it off!

Radio rating: 3 out of 10

    By Pritam Roy(03 Dec 2009)

Himesh is blaring loud from the radio. You want to switch it off...but you don't have any control on the player. You wish, you can switch channels, I mean screens...but the multiplex won't allow. Wish, there was a radio jingle, wish there were some ads. Oh no, there are some ads actually...they come in form of endorsements. Forget it, you won't get it...it's complicated!

Then, there is Facebook starring in a big way in the movie. Yes, they are getting so much attention from all over. Himesh thought about creating a record by introducing it to Bollywood. Wish, ... » read more

Chapter No. Torture: Dimag Ka Radio…Bajne de zara!

Radio rating: 2 out of 10

Himesh is always famous for his flop films in terms of acting. Whether it would be his debu film, or his remake 2nd film, or in this unusual and quite interesting topic “Radio”.

The team has chosen quite rare, somewhat curious, and very attractive topic, “Radio”. But I guess rather than making a love story with the support of USP called Radio, they would instead show us something on the life of RJ’s or something related to the “Radio Industry”. Like recently a film was released “Hello” on the life of the Call Centre’s people and etc, similarly this can be made ... » read more

As long as he was a composer Himesh Reshammiya had many fans, they seem to have doubled since he donned the actor's hat. How else would one explain Himesh's 3rd release as an actor...
Yes, With Radio, Himesh Reshammiya scores a hat-trick... Well literally, a hat-trick of duds.

Radio is all about RJ Vivan who is out of a strenous relationship but still can't seem to get over it. The 2 leading ladies of his life, one his ex-wife and the other a present colleague propel him to declare his relationship status as Complicated... Sadly, that's precisely what the ... » read more

The USP of Radio is, without doubt, Himesh's musical score. The film has some melodious tracks, but how one wishes the super music was complimented by an equally superior script.
Vivan (Himesh Reshammiya) is a successful RJ with a popular radio channel. His wife Pooja (Sonal Sehgal) seeks divorce and the reason cited is lack of compatibility between the two.

Enter Shanaya (Shenaz Treasurywala), who is like a ray of sunshine in Vivan's insipid life. He discusses Shanaya with Pooja, but being a woman, she can see his love for Shanaya. In the end, however, ... » read more

I ain't have any clue What on Earth Himesh is trying to prove!
He's neither a good actor nor a good singer why he's pushing himself to do so!!
He needs to understand that "all-rounders are only in Cricket not in Film Industry"

And of course, I'm very sorry for the producer(s), they had to pay for the outrage & disastrous mistake they've done by casting HIMESH :-) » read more

    Radio station shutted down!

Radio rating: 2 out of 10

    By Ritesh Kataria(31 Mar 2010)

Himesh is very unexpressive, though there is a comfortable small town air about him, refreshing in these slick cool dude days. But still, he was off the air in this radio station.

The story of Radio is interesting, but the problem is in the way it is edited and directed. Firstly, there are too many voiceovers and secondly, the director follows a non-linear pattern with elaborate chapter titles, which seems a device far greater than the plot itself. More time seems to have been spent in coining the creative chapter headings, rather than plotting the actual film. ... » read more

I am waiting for Kajra re now…

Radio rating: 1 out of 10

    By Paras Zatakia(10 Apr 2010)

The masala in the story includes a weirdly comical Punjabi and Parsi family of Shenaya whose family can never get their dish antenna fixed despite the Punjabi father being a senior cop. Probably Himesh didn't want his characters to buy dish antennas sold by his mentor Salman's competitors Shahrukh or Aamir. Paresh Rawal in his cameo as the forever- in-doubt 'Jhandu Lal Tyagi' makes a feeble attempt to tickle your funny bone.

Whether Himesh's music is nasal, copied or otherwise is irrelevant, because in this film music also seems didn’t worked in mass numbers. ... » read more
