Rajshekhar Roy was the owner of a company. His second in-command was Bibhas. Rajeshekhar's only son Ranjan used to spend money after girls and misuse the company's profit. Once Rajshekhar visited his friend's place where he had dinner prepared by his friend's daughter-in-law and felt that his son should also get married to somebody who would take care of the family. When Rajshekhar placed this proposal before his son, Ranjan opened up and told his father that he was in love with somebody called Neela who was a dancer. Rajeshekhar asked his son to bring Neela. At that point of time Neela was out of town. Ranjan finding no other way placed Pranati who was a typist in his father's company as Neela. Rajashekhar was pleased with his son's choice. Soon Neela returned and took shelter in Rajeshekhar's house as Ranjan's friend's sister. Finally Ranjan told his father all the truth. But Ranjan's father had accepted Pranati as his daughter-in-law and was not fond of Neela. Neela left the house and told Ranjan that if he could arrange some money, he should come to her. Ranjan took some money from his house and went to Neela. When he reached her house, he saw Neela and her dancing partner in an uncompromising position. He was shocked at seeing this and went away without informing her. At last he accepted Pranati as his wife.
