Rajesh Roshan Lal Nagrath (born on May 24, 1955) is a famous music
director himself and needs no other reference. However it is
worthwhile to mention that he is the son of the famous composer Roshan
and is brother to Rakesh Roshan and naturally, uncle to Hrithik. He trained under Faiz Ahmed Khan Saheb while his mother would rehearse her music. Roshan then went on to apprentice the already famous music director, Laxmikant who later turned a bitter rival. It is worth mentioning that Roshan shared a very amiable professional relationship with Mehmood.
Rajesh Roshan's most famous film is Julie(1975)
which brought him to fame as also the Filmfare Award for the best
music director though his first film is Kunwaara Baap. Director Roshan was the person who introduced Amitabh
Bachhan to sing in films. Infact he has been the music director to many of Bachchan's well-known films - Khuddar, Mr. Natwarlal, Do Aur Do Paanch, Yaraana etc.
Rajesh Roshan worked for a long period in his brother's films. The two
brothers made some mentionably good films like Kaho Na Pyaar
Hai,Koyla,Kishan Kanhaiya. He has many other hits also to his name
like Krrish (2006), Koi.. Mil Gaya 2: Krrish,Prateeksha (2006),
Aetbaar (2004),Koi... Mil Gaya (2003).
It is unfortunate however that he is often brought under allegations
of plagiarism. The instance of plagiarising in the film Krazzy 4 is
well-known in which the similarities in tune are so obvious that when
Ram Sampath filed a case against Roshan, they settled for an
Roshan is of a shy nature and is well loved for his good nature.
