Rajeshwari is a village girl. From her childhood shehas been good at sports and games. The villagers of her village Sudhamoni become proud of her when her team wins a shield in a kabaddi tournament much to the ire of Goju Khuro. He plans to give his daughter Dhara’s marriage with the doctor of the local health centre, Saibal. One day when Goju’s men are involved in a paddy theft, Rajeswari gets injured and Saibal treats her. From then Saibal develops a liking for her. Goju writer a letter to Saibal’s father about his son. Saibal's father comes to Rajeshwari’s house and her birth history is revealed. Rajeshwari was brought up by Hiru Kamar, a carpenter. Nayan was an unmarried beautiful village woman. She was picked up by the land lord of Mahadevpur. Nayan flew away with Kari the servant of the landlord and took shelter in Hiru Kamar’s house in another village. Hiru Kamar was jailed for a burglary case, in which Kari’s relative was involved. Nayan and Kari were sent back to Chatterjee’s house by the police. Landlord Chatterjee married Nayan as his wife was chronically ill. Nayan became pregnant, and she was sent to the doctor’s clinic in the city. But later Chatterjee did not accept Nayan and her child in front of his wife. His men killed Nayan on her way and the child was adopted by Hiru. From then, the girl Rajeshwari has been Chatterjee’s week spot. He gives her money, ornaments etc. His only desire is to hear the call ‘baba’ from Rajeshwari. But after knowing everything Rajeshwari insults her mother’s killer. At last Saibal marries Rajeshwari. Chatterjee gives all his propery to her through his will and kills himself with a pistol to avoid arrest.
