    Rajendra Nath was born in 1932. He was Brother of well know actor Prem Nath and Narendra Nath. His sister Krishna married the great showman of Bollywood Raj Kapoor. In 1949, he shifted to Mumbai. His brother Premnath was an established actor of film industry

    Rajendera Nath was a stage artist who performed at Prithvi Theatres with Prithviraj Kapoor and toured India with the likes of Shammi Kapoor and Shashi Kapoor. He began his Bollywood in 1938 with Hindi film Vachan. His major break came with a small comic role in I.S.Johar`s Hum Sab Chor Hain (1956), with Shammi Kapoor and Nalini Jaywant. His work was appreciated and he got a few roles in films. His work was appreciated and he got a few roles in films. He did a number of movies with Nasir Hussain (whom he had met through Shammi) like Jab Pyar Kisi Se Hota Hai, Phir Wohi Dil Laya Hoon, Teesri Manzil, Baharon Ke Sapne, and Pyar Ka Mausam. He was widely appreciated for playing a buffoon called Popatlal in Jab Pyar Kisi Se hota Hai, so much so that the Rajendera Nath became synonymous with the character. In 1958, Rajendra Nath got a chance to work with S. Mukherji of Filmalaya in the film Dil Deke Dekho. The film was very successful and he was flooded with offers by good producers and directors. He did two films with the celebrated director Bimal Roy in Prem Patra(1962) and Usne Kaha Tha (1960)with Sunil Dutt and Nanda. Some of his other popular films are: Janwar, Jawan Mohabbat, Tum Haseen Main Jawan, Raj Kapoor`s Prem Rog, Purab Aur Paschim, Mujhe Jeene Do with Sunil Dutt and Waheeda Rehman. He even did a lot of varied roles in the South. His last film was Sauda with Neelam Kothari. Rajendra Nath, had essayed comic roles in almost all movies starring Shammi Kapoor of the 60s. He had acted in many films in Hindi, Punjabi, Bhojpuri and also in South Indian movies. Rajendra Nath died in Mumbai on Wednesday 13th Feb 2008 after prolonged illness. He was 76.The actor had been suffering from breathing problems for the last several years and his end came at his residence in suburban Khar.
