Ram Charan Teja Konidala is an Indian film actor. Coming from a family long associated with Telugu cinema, Ram Charan is the son of actor Chiranjeevi and the grandson of veteran comedian Allu Rama Lingaiah. And also nephew of actor Pawan Kalyan and producer Nagendra Babu and cousin to fellow actor Allu Arjun. He made his debut as lead actor in 2007 with Chirutha. He is the brand ambassador for Pepsi and Airtel in Andhra Pradesh. Ram Charan Teja, also known as Cherry, was born on 27th March 1985 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu to actor Chiranjeevi and Smt. Surekha. He has two sisters, Sushmita and Srija. He did his schooling in Chennai and Ooty. Ram Charan made his film debut in 2007 with Chirutha, which was directed by Puri Jagannadh. The movie showed a good performance at the box office. His second film, S. S. Rajamouli's Magadheera (2009), emerged a critical as well as huge commercial success. This film broke all records and ran for an uninterrupted 300 plus days, and became the highest grossing Telugu film earning around 80 crore. The movie was a show stealer at South Indian Filmfare awards for the year 2009 with six awards and Ram Charan getting the Filmfare Best Actor Award and Nandi Award for his performance as Kaala Bhairava and Harsha. The movie is dubbed into Tamil and Malayalam titled as Maaveeran and Dheera the Warrior respectively and released on 27 May 2011.Movie didn't well at box office of both Tamil and Malayalam. After the mega block buster Magadheera, Ram Charan came with a romantic entertainer Orange, released on November 26, 2010. The flick was directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar and produced by Nagendra Babu.The movie didn't do well at the box office and become the biggest commercial failer movie of the 2010 . But music by Harris Jayaraj and Production values were highly appreciated.
Presently, Ram Charan is all set to play the lead under Sampath Nandi's direction. The movie is being jointly produced by Paras Jain and NV Prasad under Super Good Films banner. The title of the film has been framed as ‘Rachaa’. Ram Charan recently went to USA for a couple of months to get himself trained in various martial arts. The film will go on the floor this June, and will release by the end of the year. Tamannaah Bhatia will be the female lead. During the shooting of Rachaa, a film in the direction of V. V. Vinayak will go to floors with Samantha as the female lead. This film will be produced by D.V.V. Danayya on Universal Media banner. This film is likely to go to sets in the month of August.
