After 5years, Biswapati became a drunkard just to forget Nanda. One day Asamja told about her old relationship with Biswapati. She also said that Biswapati had became a drunkard only because he could not marry her. Asamja said that she only could cure her. Asamja came to Biswapati's house and said that Nanda had invited him. Already there was a misunderstanding between Biswapati and Kalyani regarding Nanda. That invitation enhanced that problem. Nanda requested Biswapati to accompany them to Puri. and Biswapati agreed. Kalyani became worried asfor the last 15 days Biswapati had left home and there was no news of him. She heard from Nemai, that Biswapati had gone to Puri with Nanda, so Kalyani went to Puri along with Nemai. Kalyani came to know that she had cured her husband but Biswapati did not want to disclose it to his wife. Kalyani was deeply grieved by this and she returned to Calcutta. Suren, Nanda's debauch uncle, took kalyani to her sister's house and gave her shelter. Then Suren want to take advantage of Kalyani. She started shouting and hearing that shout, Mr. Bose, the landlord's brother came to rescue her. Kalyani refused to get back to her house, so Mr. Bose took her to Agra as a governess of his children. Biswapati after getting cured, came back to Calcutta. He was informed that Kalyani had left with Nemai. Again Biswapati started drinking. Nanda was in her death bed. Biswapati came to see her on the request of Asamja. Nanda requested Biswapati to return back to his home. Her prediction was that Kalyani will definitely come back. Biswapati started to search for Kalyani. One day in Agra, Mr. Bose proposed to Kalyani to marry him. It was enough for Kalyani. So one night Kalyani left home in search of happiness.
