    Director Kanoj Das’s “Rangamati” is an excellent effort to make people aware of the superstitions which they believe and practice. All those viewers who has already watched Ram Gopal Verma’s BHOOT of PHOONK will now surely get confused and demotivated. This movie shows how the rich and powerful people befool the poor and uneducated villagers and misguides them to capture their property.     Kanoj Das in not only the director of this newly released film, he is also the story and screenplay writer. I have never heard of this director before, so I am unable to say whether it is his debut film or not. But Kanoj Das has taken a serious subject for his film.
