To see….Yaa….To not to see….
It looks like Neeraj Pathak is having good relations with the Deol’s family. This is his third film with casting with them. The prior two were “Jurm” starring Bobby & others, and “Apne” with the all the family inclusive. Looks like heavy discount must have been given to Neeraj Pathak. But anyways, this is his third film starring Sunny Deol and his next two upcoming projects as “The Man” & “Masters” is also starring none other than but in and as Sunny Deol. I think it must be now 50% discount offer given to Neeraj Pathak.
It’s about a story of a Brave Police Officer (Sunny Deol), who has a good name in the Police Department. Irfan Khan was his colleague and also they two both were very good friends. Sunny has a very good family, with his wife as Isha Koppikar, along with his step brother, and his one and only son played by Ali Haji. Isha & Sunny’s step borther were having an affair between them, and Sunny was not having any idea of this. Now one fine day Sunny got injured while catching criminals and doctors declared him that his below the abdominal part is being paralyzed forever, and the chances for cure is one in a million. Soon sunny had loosen his self-confidence and very depressed in his life. He decided to kill himself but with the only help of his wife and his step brother. Sunny requested them and with some extra drama and all, they both finally agreed to kill him. But on the day of the murder, instead of Sunny, they both, Isha & his Step Brother were killed. The case was filed as in a self-defense, but Irfan Khan as his best friend was confirmed that it was a plan murder by Sunny Deol, as he was already knowing the affair of his wife before the murder and plus he is also able to walk, and now he is fooling the law by acting as innocent.
This whole movie is based on the fights between two best friends, Sunny Deol & Irfan Khan for just proving who is Right and who is wrong.
As per already been declared that the first is pathetic, but as per my view, the second half is also not that good, but also it’s not that bad. Some of the drama sequences were good, but overall it’s not the film for today. It’s not the film which should be released and being shown to the audience in the year of 2010. The story, the screenplay, the dialogues, all are being designed in a typically 90’s style. This film is meant to be release in the year about 2001 or 2002. This film is behind 10yrs as compared from the current film scenario in our industry. Only because of some good drama sequences which is being shown to us in the second half, this film is a bit bearable compared to his first half, plus a bit of enjoyable and interesting too.
Direction by Neeraj Pathak was good as compared to his previous one, “Gumnaam – The Mystery” which was extremely bad. Music and Background Score by Monty Sharma were below the average. Performances were on an average good by all, including by Isha Koppikar. The most spectacular performance was given by Sunny Deol in the second half according to me. All the time sitting on the wheel chair, staring at something or someone, and hardly says any dialogues. Brilliant and spectacular performance.
1. Only some good drama sequences from second half, but that to at some point of extent.
2. Technicalities like Editing, Cinematography were good.
1. Old story, lousy screenplay in the first half and also in some portions of the second half and boring dialogues.
2. Climax also didn’t deliver that level of entertainment.
It’s ok to see it for once, but not Ok to see it on a multiplex and spend some heavy bucks. Rest depends on individual’s decision whether “To see….Yaa….To not to see”.
