Amitava Mullick heads the anti terrorist program of the C.I.D and is responsible for the implementation of a special anti-terrorist project called ‘Project Risk’. One day his wife Rani goes to reach their son to school and after reaching home, she is kidnapped by terrorists and kept in a. warehouse. Though all communication is cut of, she manages to fix two wires of a broken telephone and accidentally cross connects a guy called Ronnie to whom she narrates her tale. Though he initially doesn’t believe her, but later on he believes her and tries to rescue Rani’s son who had also been picked up by the kidnappers. His cell phone battery conks off which is why the communication gets cut off. He has several run-ins with a sergeant and a certain action of his makes the sergeant think him to be a terrorist. His photograph is shown on all T.V screens across town and he becomes a wanted man, he goes and surrenders himself. When he is in the hospital, the terrorist, Vivek Kapadia, actually an I.B man takes away Ronnie without anyone knowing his real identity to the warehouse. When Amitava Mullick comes to know the truth from Mittie, Ronnie’s girlfriend, both of them go to the warehouse and there is a fight between Kapadia’s men and Ronnie and Amitava on one side in which he perishes with his men.
