Proud to be born in the land of Gandhiji….

Road To Sangam rating: 9 out of 10

When we were small our school showed us a film called GANDHI. At that time despite of being small had loved the life and thought of the father of our nation. I remember at that time I had so many questions and doubts regd Gandhiji and wanted to know more and more about him. Whenever I use to go to Chowpatty beach in Mumbai, there use to be a poster of Gandhiji running with a kid and I use to feel his love for kids and in a way for me too. Slowly as i grew up and like majority of us the love, feelings, curiosity, etc started to fade out and was reserved for some special ... » read more

    Road to Gandhiji’s thoughts!

Road To Sangam rating: 6 out of 10

I guess “Road to Sangam” is a very small budget film, but the way it has been shown is just amazing. Simple story, presented in a very nice way, with some added melodious music, and not to be forgotten, a marvelous and splendid performance given by Paresh Rawal.

    Story:
Story is very simple, but though very impactful and have its deep meaning to understand.

Paresh Rawal is the General Secretary or something of the Muslim Community in Uttar Pradesh. He is also an engineer who works in his own shop and repairs the spare parts of the cars. One fine day ... » read more

    A different patriotic film!

Road To Sangam rating: 6 out of 10

Miraculously while constructing a heart-warming morality tale, the debutant writer-director manages to keep the tone purely and strictly non-judge mental. The director walks into one such hamlet to help us experience its dynamics. Rai portrays the world of religious bigotry as eminently reformable. In this sense, the film's core could be considered impractical. But the film's quest to convert the currency of communalism into a molten gold of harmony and peace is never questionable.

One of the best Paresh’s film!

Road To Sangam rating: 0 out of 10

Paresh Rawal as the simple and obstinate motor mechanic Hashmatullah finds that dithering but comforting ground in his performance. He isn't just a modest car mechanic. He's a walking, talking Preamble of India, upholding the essential values of a sovereign, democratic, secular nation.
Watch the film for Paresh Rawal and for its topical message.

It’s amazing how the really good stories somehow get pushed into oblivion and the most dumb ones get marketed like crazy and become ‘hits’. Every year, Bollywood churns out the worst movies that are ever made. If there was an award for the highest number of crappy movies made, Bollywood would win hands down. The essence of any movie is its story; our filmmakers tend to forget that, even a majority of the celebrated hit-makers. Thankfully, there are a few who make movies with strong storylines, but such movies never receive the attention, or the audience, that they should. ... » read more
