    Typical Ramsay Movie…

Rokkk rating: 3 out of 10

    By Aakash Barvalia(11 Mar 2010)

Rokk is a story of one house who is being cursed mistakenly by one lady. And now just because of her curse, many innocent people were getting killed who stays in that house or who even passes through the shadow of that house. Now as usual, in every typically Ramsay kind of horror movie, there is one tantrik baba who helps the victim by free from evil spirits.

The story starts of with Tanushree Dutta who is being declared as mad and is being arrested by Police in killing her husband and his respective sister. Tanushree called her sister, Udita Goswami, pleading ... » read more

Just seen Rokk yesterday in a cable TV, and my god, somebody please put some Rokk...not on these movies, but in Udita’s and Tanushree’s career.

Tanushree gives off credible wide-eyed expressions while her makeup and her clothes are right out of an 80’s film.

Arif Zakaria as Tantrik hag baba doesn’t really fit in the role of a healer, but although he was some perfect in his role. He will surely evoke a raucous laughter.

Udita Goswami and Shaad Randhawa dominate the proceedings in the second half but sadly none of them make an impression. Both ... » read more

    The Graph Continues ….

Rokkk rating: 2 out of 10

    By Divya Solgama(05 Mar 2010)

Horror films in India are like a perfect Graph which goes up and down. The Graph started with A-Grade Horror films and went up, but later thanks to cheap directors and low grade actors the graph slide down and went in negativity with Z grade makers. It was restored back by RGV and Bhatts and slowly it managed to get back to where it had started. But again watching last few releases the graph has shown a bend towards the gravity. Let’s find out if this film helps the Graph retain its position back or not.

Story has high inspiration of few Hollywood Horror movies ... » read more

    Too Bad…

Rokkk rating: 1 out of 10

    By Ritesh Kataria(15 Jul 2010)

Director Rajesh Ranshinge resorts to a ceaseless stream of fake scares, dream sequences, and shrieking ladies and as Sumeet Sehgal's script careens from hackneyed endangered-woman situations to laughable implausibility. Director piles up the scary movie clichés and you will be driven back to some good mind relaxing therapy. He could have atleast tried to emulate a Ramsay movie, perhaps that attempt would have come out better. Also the director craftily leaves an opening for a sequel which I doubt will ever be made. My goodness, what a confident!!!
