  Ready For the most-awaited movie of 2012? Here comes Akshay Kumar whom he we all have been waiting to return in his best form - ACTION. Estimated to be a 60-65 crore project, Rowdy Rathore snatched much attention since its theatrical trailer had come out. Also, the tag of PRABHUDEVA encouraged many masala-movie lovers and reminded them of WANTED. It's absolutely right that the tradition of southern action and drama has made their way in Bollywood only because of Prabhudeva.

  Remember the 80s where masala films would dominate the industry with Big B ruling on one side with big banners and stars like Jeetendra (south remakes like himmatwala,justice chaudhary) Dharmendra (multistarrer action flicks like hukumat, loha, aag hi aag) and shatrughan Sinha (dialogue driven dramas) having their own phases. Their main agenda was paisa-vasool entertainment for their fans, full of action, comedy and tadka of foot-tapping music.   “Rowdy Rathod” co-produced by UTV and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, directed by Prabhu Deva redefines trash. It is true South remake with dollops of mindless action, cleavage show, loud music, disjointed screenplay etc. “Rowdy Rathod” has everything which can be termed as cheap & trash.
  The story or should I say the lack of it is straight out of a 80’s pot boiler, the lead actor Akshay Kumar has double role, one a honest Cop and other a con man, can’t be more predictable than this.   in this film Akshay doing his job very well.in the begnning shiva role his chracter in funny style but when ISP Vijay entry the film,the film turns in serious and action.when film again focus on shiva the film turns again funny+action.the heroin paro also do her job well and good.she look nice and pretty. the music of film is good but so so. after a very long period a big hit movie come on a screen. » read more

  The film of the year!!!!!!!!!!Indeed it is,it cant let u go out of your seat for a moment,interesting from the very begining it has powerful action by Bollywood's Khiladi,it has it all..Complete entertainment with mindblowing dilogues..Its better than it original.Prabhudeva deserves distinction marks for it.Songs were already super hits and the movie is sure to be a blockbuster...It will surely attract maximum odiance and few intellectuals might not like it..but as we are the common people it gives much pleasure and Akshay Kumar as Vikram Rathore is the best part of the ... » read more
