Run is one of the strangest films in recent times in Tollywood. The film goes in such a direction that it is difficult to understand what the film is all about though the film does prove one thing-friendship is the greatest things of all which stands tested over time and other factors.
The film is about three guys –Jeet, Ghana and Ricky who are the best of friends.Jeet is the leader of the gang.Jeet loves Megha and Ricky loves Jeet’s younger sister. Just when you thought that the story would center on these characters, in the picture comes Arpan, Jeet’s childhood friend whose mother is against his relationship with Pushpita because she and Pushpita’s father are rivals.Jeet and co decide to help Arpan and they go to North Bengal to help her. However their journey ends in disastrous consequences with Jeet getting injured, Ghana losing his hearing abilities and Ricky losing a leg. They land up behind bars for a day and they even land up in a hospital for some time. The film then becomes a tearjerker with a lot of wailing and crying. After they go home, some other disastrous events take place. They also come to know that Arpan and Pushpita have gone their separate ways. They decide to teach the couple a lesson after they are not entertained by the couple when they go to visit them. They ‘kidnap’ the couple , take them to a destination where Jeet lectures them on morality and everything becomes fine and even Pushpita’s father and Arpan’s mother turns up to welcome them with open arms.
The point about this film is the film doesn’t center on these characters and takes a complete different turn after Arpan and in the last end; Jeet’s speech becomes a long speech. There are a couple of completely unnecessary songs and even with the entire theme centered on the values of friendship; the film doesn’t just work for anyone.
On top of it, you have dialogues like ‘Aapnar Rakto Pariksha Kore Dekte Chai Je Bhalobashar Hemoglobinta Ache Kina’. Run! Run! Run away from this film. Pamela again features in this film as Jeet’s younger sister. A film of hers is releasing practically every week and the rate at which she is going, nothing remains to be said.
