Saas Bahu Aur Sensex is a fun film about the changing face of India.
It is the story of Nitya (Tanushree), who moves with her mother (Kirron Kher) from their comfortable home in Kolkata to Navi Mumbai (New Bombay).
Finding her bearings, in a new city, letting go of her ambition to study in the USA for her MBA, she begins work at a call center befriends, Ritesh Jetmalani (Ankur).
Nitya's mother Binita Sen is troubled by her failed marriage. She is befriended by the women in the colony and joins their kitty parties. She knows her daughter is angry with her and blames her for their situation, but believes that this was their best alternative to find their own place under the sun.
Binita's father had left her some shares and she traces her father's old stock broking house to figure out the maze of the stock market reality. Here she meets Firoz Sethna (Farooq Shaikh), an ethical but cranky and eccentric stock broker, who teaches her the ropes of correct investing. In the meantime, the group of kitty party ladies, feel, that Binita is up to something dubious, they haven't got the gossip and keep wondering why did she leave her husband anyways?
Kirti Wagaskar (Masumeh), although a middle class girl plans to marry someone rich. She shows off to the world and dreams of landing Yash Modi, a billionaire by birth.
Kirti and Nitya eventually both fall for Ritesh and Nitya plan to sacrifice her love. Can Binita change the tide? Don't miss this masala movie, filled with the stock market fluctuations, kitty parties, soap operas and the changing tides of New India.
