A child was born on a full- moon day in the house of Jagannath Mishra. He was a very learned man. As the child was born in a room just under a neem tree he was name Nimai. In his childhood Nimai was very naughty. He always used to create a mess in neighbour's house. But seeing his beautiful face and hearing hani chants everybody used to forget his mischievousness. One day a Brahmin came to Jaggannath Mishra's house as a guest. The Brahmin himself arranged for his own cooking after the cooking was over the Brahmin was ready to offer the cooked food first to his god. But before that Nimai spoilt all the food. Jagannath was so annoyed that he locked Nimai in a small room. Again when the Brahmin was ready to offer the food to his lord he thought he was offering the food lord Krishna and to his surprise he saw Nimai was having there food. Then he realised that Nimai is none other than Lord Narayan. The tantrik of Nabadwip decided to put fire on a few houses of Baishnabs. All the houses were burnt to ashes. Nimai was observing this. He saw the miserable condition of the Baishnabs. At his mercy the burnt houses were returned again in the old form everybody was surprised at this miracle. The Baishnabs understood Nimai is none other than lord Narayan himself.
