Sadashiv amrapurkar a Marathi and hind film actor who started off with a bang in “ardh satya” as “shetty anna” then went on to do more villainous roles in “Hukumat”, “Teri meherbaniyaan”, “Kaal chakra”, “aakhri raasta”. But the turning point came in 1992 for “sadak”. The character “Maharani” fetched him a filmfare award for this role. After that sadashiv turned to positive roles in films like “Aankhen” which was accepted by the masses and ”coolie number one “ as “Shaadi ram Gharjode”. After Sadashiv started portaying in B-grade Hindi films which were mostly meant for front benchers in cinema halls. Though Sadashiv shifted back to commercial films in films like “Ishq”,”Tarzan-the wonder car” and then he got back to Marathi cinema with many state awards to his credit.
