Overall on Ok type of movie, story line is very similar if you just compare with any of the 80’s mediocre film, where a boy and a girl are in love but some rich boy fell in love with that girl just for his lust and finally he gets a good a lesson.
Similarly in this film, Sahibaan (Madhuri Dixit) is a young carefree village girl who falls in love with Gopi (Rishi Kapoor). She lives with her mom, dad, Balakram (Satyrn Kappu), and a mentally challenged cousin, Kheru (Javed Khan).
One day she catches the eye of wealthy Kunwar Vijay Pal Singh (Sanjay Dutt) who is ruthless killer, alcoholic and womanizer.
Vijay is now unable to get her out of his mind. When he get to know that she is actually fell in love with Gopi then he decides to kill Gopi. He locates him, beats him, and throws him in the river. Gopi is now missing, Balakram and Sahibaan set out to try and locate Gopi. Gopi is after all found, regains his energy to save her love, and teach Vijay a good lesson for his deeds.
Good performance by Rishi Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and evergreen gorgeous Madhuri. Rest all were typecast.
A onetime watch only for Madhuri, that to you can skip for any other of her films.
