Sajid Khan's mother Menaka is the sister of Honey Irani and Daisy Irani, former child stars.
He is the brother of Bollywood director and Choreographer Farah Khan.
Sajid Khan started with anchoring television shows, award functions ,events then ventured in to films.
Earlier Sajid was anchoring many television shows before venturing into films, but all of his shows used to take digs at actors in the film industry which made realize as to what Bollywood was all about.
Sajid debuted in Hrishikesh Mukherjees's "Jhoot bule kauwa kate" which bombed at the box office.
Sajid’s first directorial film was RGV’s ‘Darna Zaroor Hain’ in which he directed one part of the story in it and which were also liked by the masses.
Sajid came into popularity when his directorial film ‘Heyy Baby’ became a huge success at the box-office.
Before making his debut in acting in 1998’s Bollywood movie ‘Jhooth Bole Kauwa Kaate’, Sajid had done a small role in 1983’s Hollywood movie ‘Heat and Dust’ where he played the role of Dacoit Thief.
Apart from acting and directing films, Sajid Khan is also a Costume Designer and had designed costumes for films like Desh Drohi (2008).
Apart from acting and directing films, Sajid Khan had also done a playback singing in his own films like ‘Heyy Baby’ and ‘Housefull’.
