Sajid Nadiadwala, born in 1966; at Mumbai, is an Indian film producer. Many of his family and relatives including A.A. Nadiadwala and A.K. Nadiadwala were successful film producers in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. He is cousin of Firoz A. Nadiadwala who is also currently a successful producer. Sajid secretly married Bollywood actress Divya Bharti on 20 May 1992. Their marriage was tragically short lived when Divya fell to her death from her apartment building on 5 April 1993. Many claimed that Sajid was Divya's mysterious death but this has never been proven. According to news reports Sajid had fainted when he found out about her death the very next day. He fainted again soon after he lit her funeral pyre. He has since dedicated some of his films to Divya's memory. He has since remarried to Wardha Khan, a former journalist. They have a son together.
Started as an AC Technician and than later worked as spot boy and graduated to become production assistant in his uncle's production house, Sajid now has his own production company-Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. The production company has churned out many hits including Waqt Hamara Hai (1993), Jeet (1996), Judwaa (1997), Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega (2000) and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004). His 2006 released film Jaan-E-Mann was a box office failure but was critically appreciatedHis latest 2007 release Heyy Babyy was of the year's biggest hits. He was nominated for the Best Producer of the Year (2005) under the Popular Award category at Zee Cinema Awards. He has announced producing a movie titled Kambakth Ishq (2008) (pre-production is on) with Sylvestar Stallone and Denise Richards in cameos, and has also announced the movie Judwaa (2009). He has frequently cast Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar in his films. Sajid, as he claimed in an interview, is a certified Chartered Accountant but sources close to him say he had failed in his XII exams.
