Paresh Roy took shelter in a jungle with his son Shekhar being frustrated about the society education system and civilization. He handed over the charge of his property to his childhood friend attorney Abani Choudhury. Shekhar was grown up as a pure human being, but was unaware about the society's rule and regulations. So he became dejected seeing the true shape of the society when Abani bought him to his own house after the death of Paresh Roy. Sekhar was introduced with Sita, the friend of Abani's daughter Suprabha. Being a modern girl Sita knew the selfish and hypocrate society. She was also dejected by the society. So she was able to understand and request to save her from that society. Briefless barister Nanda Dulal Ray wanted to marry Sita as she was a society girl. He thought marrying Sita was an affair to be proud of. If Sita would be, her wife he would definitely get man's legal client through her. He clearly told he wanted that from Sita a 'husband' status, and nothing else. Sita could love anybody. Sita had to bear this as Mr. Roy holds the key of her life. She asked about the key to her paralyzed mother Sabitri Debi, but didn't get any answer. But at last love won the battle.
