    Sandeep was born in Ghana. He was partly brought up in Nigeria and Bangalore but currently based in Chennai. He had a keen interest in Jazz during his school times, which later lead to the formation of the band ‘Pulse’ with Shivamani and Keith Peters.

    It was Nagarjuna, who recommended him for the music of the Telugu film Ninne Pelladutha which turned out to be one of the biggest hits of the industry. Of course next was his entry in Bollywood through the film ‘Satya’. He gave amazing sound tracks for Ram Gopal Verma’s ‘Mast’ and ‘Jungle’, Background scores for ‘Musafir’ 'Asoka', 'Vaastav' 'Kaun' and 'Shool'. ‘Satya’, Youth anthems in 2001 and 2002 in the form of "Kambakth Ishq…" in the movie Pyar Tune Kya Kiya and "Khallas…" for Company. Telugu film ‘Super’ starring Nagarjuna and Ayesha Takia.

    Working on Mohanbabus Home production’s new movie, he also worked on theme for Beijing Olympics 2008 with AO. Sandeep‘s ground breaking album is to be released. It showcases the talents of several jazz greats like John Scofield, Dave Valentin,Jimmy Haslip, Vinnie Colouita, Eddie Daniels, Bunny Brunel, Jay Oliver, Tom Schuman(Spyro Gyra),Frank Gambale, Virgil Donati and Patrice Rushen. Involved in Baby Sleep project founded by Jay Oliver. Sandeep recently directed a ten-minute short film titled ‘Dead End’ dealing with the drug peddling menace rampant in the country. The film shocked its viewers at all its screenings and has nonetheless been termed ‘effective’.
