The movie may have been just okay but the music, in true RK tradition, was fantastic and has stood the test of time. RK was on the ascendancy – in my opinion – to the masterpiece of all his works, Mera Naam Joker. The music here stands out especially because of how well it conveys the film's storyline. Every track is melodious (except maybe 'Issh Libedish I Love You, Yabusten') and the lyrics make the melodies unforgettable. Mukesh is in his element while Lata Mangeshkar showed why she was a supreme talent (with renditions from standard fare like 'Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega' to the spirited 'Mein Ka Karoon Ram').
A must-have in every collection of classics.
