Sedin Dekha Hoyechilo was a highly expected movie after "Dui Prithibi" because of nothing but DEV & Srabanti pair. Songs were quitely popular in the lips of Bengal especially "Khokababu", Dev created quite a hype about his upcoming by adding his birthday to it. But as for this one, the first day first show was unbelievably crowded, but from the X-Mas day, the crowd was reduced approx 30-70% in many halls.

Take to the plot - Abir(Dev's name yet again) and his three friends were in the holds of Neelkanth(Tapas Pal) because their friend Ajay fled with Neelkanth's eleder daughter Kabita on her marriage day. Now Abir unknowingly has fallen in love with Nandini(Srabanti), Neelkanth's younger daughter. The journey in search for Kabita has made Abir & Nandini come closer, but will their survive from the jaws of Neelkanth?

Such an outdated plot can't survive without Hero & Heroine's fame & extraordinary performances. Dev & Srabanti try their best to give splendid performances but that was enough for Whistles & Claps of some college gores in the theater not enough for every audience sitting there. Sujit Mondal's experiment by a fresh story works well on movie but the movie doesn't work on every people. Besides, the EXCESSIVE LENGTH of 2:35 minutes was like "Aag Mein Ghee". The yawn & arm-stretch of some audiences can be heard in the theaters as well as some guys saying "JEEYO PAGLA, JEEYO DEV".

One 4 minutes lengthy moment can not be unlikeable to any audience which is the song "KHOKABABU". Dev's perfect moves and the babes with lighting bikinis can't bore any people in the hall. Samidh-Rishi's superior number just rains foot-tapping all over the hall. This one was the first song and it was going pretty good until other boring songs came which had no spice or dun in them. All of them were boring love songs except "Mon Hariye Beghore" which was impulsive for the voice of Mohit Chahuhan. Otherwise we got a disappointing score from Jeet Ganguly. But Samidh-Rishi composed a single one and it is still working wonders.

The main minus point of the film is it's 150 minutes unnecessary length. There was no need to stretch every scene to XXL Size. Adding extra emotional drama & dialogs nearly ruined every scene. While Dev & Srabanti's sweet chemistry worked, editing ruined many scenes.

DEV in the Khokababu avatar did a commendable job while Srabanti snatched eyeballs towards her by her beautiful face. They looked pure and sweet together. Dev with his style and Srabanti with her CHULBULI performance created a havoc position for success of the film. Tapas Pal was tremendous in his Banedi-Poribaar's Baba type role. His dialogs, acting everything created a great impression towards the audiences. I am sure that maybe the college gores will ignore him, but the sensitive people won't. Others were so-so.

On the whole, Sedin Dekha Hoyechilo had three mighty forces which are - DEV, SRABANTI & TAPAS PAL. But the lengthy script & dull storyline ruined everything. Dev tried his best to save the movie, but.... sigh! FINAL WORD? It's a tragedy that, SEDIN DEKHA HOYECHILO would have worked wonders.
