Shahrukh Bola Khoobsurat Hai Tu critic reviews & ratings

This one's a small, experimental film that delves into the psyche of the archetypal Bollywood fan who transmutes the object of his devotion -- a movie star -- into a demi-god. A smart little fable that kinda explains why Indians erect temples for their favourite stars or write fan mail to them in blood. Set against a crumbling bustee in Mumbai, the film revolves around a traffic signal where a bunch of small-timers livemore

SRK fans have been feeling deprived of late. So a title Shahrukh Bola Khoobsurat Hai Tu, might just take them scurrying to the theatres. But a small note of caution. The film has only a miniscule guest appearance by Shah Rukh Khan. SBKHT is all about how the superstar's persona has invaded millions of lives across the globe cutting through all sections of society. Laali (Preetika Chawla) is a flower seller who has a chance encounter with her demi-god SRKmore

One day, a grimy flower-seller at a traffic intersection is told by the country’s biggest superstar: khubhsoorat hai tu . And Lali’s world changes. This could have been a nice film, especially because it comes from Makrand Deshpande, fine actor and playwright. What we get is jaw-droppingly bad. Lali (Chawla) is adored by a scrawny fellow who sells cheap bestsellers at the same crossing, who is adored in turn by a bar dancer. He is jealous of Shah Rukh Khanmore
