Lekhraj Bhakri's Shama is a saga of love and sacrifice with ample amount of Urdu shayari & beautiful songs present in it. Shama has been taken care of by Parwana's parents, single childhood, whom she loves silently. But Parwana & Roshan start loving each other after a small meeting. Parwana sent Shama as his messenger to Roshan , being fully unaware of Shama's love. Shama plays mediator between both of them, and brings them really close. After the marriage of Roshan with Parwana, Roshan realises Shama's pain. She keeps asking her about her love but Shama keeps her silence; problems get worse when Roshanara's brother Dilavar proposes Shama for marriage & she rejects him. Dilavar wants to take revenge, Roshanara being fully aware of her brother's character, comes in between and ultimately leaves Dilavar repenting.
