Watching this movie simply means wastage of time and money, as there is nothing new in this movie. We have seen this type of movies atleast 50 times before and can predict every scene and dialogue. Basically there is noting to predict as every thing is known from the very beginning. Director Babu Roy had tried to do many things but evertihing goes in vain. We can see the firebrigade minister Mr. Pratim Chartterjee in a guest appearance but it was needless. When Prosenjit was decalred dead by the doctors and even after that he regains his life as Tathoi stars singing infront of the idol of Goddess Kali makes us belief that yes... we are watching a melodramatic nuisence. This idea has probably has taken from Ekta Kapoor's "K" special daily soaps. The music by Bappi Lahiri need no special mention but the lyrics by Gautam Susmit are more than horrible (the item number needs a special mention in this case). The actions ans special effects in this movie are exceptionally artificial. There are too many irrelevant characters who without any significance comes and goes and overcrowds the screen. Continuity mistakes are uncountable. God knows why the director has shown hills in Kolkata? where has he found them.
Satabdi Roy was more than artificial and messed up competely. Tapas Pal had nothing to do actually but tried to do a lot. Prosenjit is available with his very own mannerisms. Tathoi's speech in the court room makes us think about the level of intellect of the dialogue writer - Mr. Kamal Sarkar. All the cries and lamentations seem to be more comic than tragic.
This movie certainly makes us think whether we can expect any "Good Work" from the directors of this industry. Can they ever come out of their regular concept of making a film on how the hero takes revenge from the villians after they kill his beloved wife or girlfriend (wife and daughter in this movie). Isn't there anything else on which a normal movie can be made? The time has come when these riddles are needed to be solved.
