While shooting for SHIRIN FARHAD KI TOH NIKAL PADI, Boman Irani and Farah Khan took care of each other and made sure they ate good food.
Bela Sehgal feared that being a director herself, Farah Khan would have her own opinion; but fortunately for Bela, Farah did not create any problem while shooting.
The film is a tribute to the Parsi community by director Bela Sehgal.
Farah Khan was not comfortable with a kissing scene in the film and told the makers to remove it or else she wouldn’t work in the film. The scene was removed later.
Boman Irani and Farah Khan have been friends for years, and this made Farah lot more comfortable while shooting for the film.
Farah Khan had casually said yes to Bhansali thinking that a film with Boman and her as the lead pair would never get the required funding. Later she was surprised to see the film actually progressing.
Boman Irani visited various lingerie shops in South Mumbai in order to get into the skin of his character.
The makers of the film decided not to use any fake traits or body language to depict a Parsi couple in the film. Farah and Boman, who are Parsis in real life, were told to be as natural as possible.
