Shudhu Tomake Chai deals with the psyche of a band singer Tito who happens to be the lead singer of a bangla band named Pagla Hawa.Tito is basically a loner who fantasizes about making relationship with various imaginary girls. He narrates those bizarre incidents to his close friends Jeet,Pamela,Puja and Dipa. The friends enjoy Tito's way of telling those fake stories and encourage him into narrating fresher ones.Tito is very excited as he narrates intimate scenes with his imaginary lovers even though some of his friends like Puja and Dipa are disinterested to listen. Both ... » read more

Shudhu Tomake Chai is a lengthy story narrated within a short span of time. The introduction of principal characters in the film happens through various songs which appealed to me the most. The entire film has got a fresh look. The songs are soothing to the ears and the photography is elegant and realistic. The film has been shot on a broad canvas and the outdoor scenes are exquisite. The entire film seems to be a collection of various significant moments involving different characters of the story and the narrator Mr. Sabyasachi Chakrabarty enhances the speed of the story ... » read more

Shudhu Tomake Chai - FATAFATI CHHOBI

Shudhu Tomake Chai rating: 8 out of 10

I went to see this movie expecting this to be a typical love story. But from the beginning of the film the smart presentation attracted me the most. The editing of the film is crisp and smart.Though the character of the psychiatrist Dr. Mukut Bose played by Soumitra Chatterjee appears to be a bit shortened the presence of mental disease delusion adds a new twist to the storytelling. I think this is the first Bangla film dealing with the subject of delusion. My heartiest congratulations to the team of Shudhu Tomake Chai for creating a memorable experience. » read more

God only knows ke kake chaai!

‘Sudhu Tomaake Chaai’ is one muddled up film. It features a group of small time actors and actresses in the lead roles who are otherwise good actors , but the film just doesn’t allow them to do anything. Rather the film becomes a torture to watch.

The film is all bout the members of a Bangla band. Tito is the lead singer of the band which is played by Saheb Chatterjee and it seems as if nearly every girl in the film barring Soumili(and there are quite a few starting from Mumtaz Sorcar, Arpita Mukherjee, newcomer Tilottoma Dutta and Soumili Biswas ) is in love ... » read more
