    Nandan 2 has always been a venue for screening films which have such a tight budget that the producers cant release their films in a decent theatre. At times the films might be even okay, but due to lack in quality of production and even publicity, it falls short. “Siddhanta” or The Decision is also the story of a group of young student leaders who are disillusioned with the party’s policies and ideologies and think of forming their own party.     This is the second political film of the year 2009. First one was Kaalbela by Goutam Ghose. Siddhanta is directed by Abhik Roy. This film is set in a North Bengal village. And the content is the contradiction between the left and the ultra left regarding different political issues.
    But the main trouble of Siddhanta is that the screenplay never specifically clears about the political issues.
