An out and out leave your brains behind, kind of entertainer.
I liked it better as I saw it at home and was free from the paisa vasooli equation. Don't know if I would have said the same if I had seen it in the multiplex + popcorn + cola kind of situation.
Akshay and Katrina have in a way repeated their Namaste London act, and delivered another hit. It was funny and had the kind of nonsensical rib tickling kind of humour which either gets you or doesn't. Thankfully it did for me.
Katrina, looks good, but I think that's where it stops, she really needs to work on her acting and diction, else all she's going to be able to do justice to, are these NRI or high society kind of roles. If she is being touted as the future no 1 then she really needs to get her act together and fast.
Akshay is god, but then you feel that you've seen him deliver similar performances an umpteen no of times in the past. Just donning a turban doesn't make a role different.
Kiran Kher and Om Puri, although extremely refined artists also seem to have done repetitive kind of roles.
So nothing really new, some funny scenes and dialogues and some song sequences - Teri Ore is a beautiful rendition that makes you want to shut your eyes and keep listening, still don't know where Pritam has flicked this one from though ! and Jee Karta makes you want to get up and dance along.
All in all, can watch, if in the mood for some fun and frolic. :P
