I cud see the tireness on Akshay Kumar's face while doing the same old comedy in Bhaagam Bhaag and Welcome. I wud have hated Welcome had it not been for Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar. So it is not any surprise that the same look shows on his face in Singh is Kinng. Sorry friends, but I have not liked a bit of this movie. Not a single joke made me laugh. Either they were stale or inane. Only the Yashpal Sharma track of Pankaj Udaas was a new one. Akshay was trying too hard and that clearly showed. Just look at the faces he is making in the title song. All songs creep up from anywhere, most of them being dream sequences. It looks like Vipul Shah, the producer and Anees Bazmee, the director were just interested in cashing in on the Akkie popularity wave. O.k. agreed that they had not promised a classic but there is a difference between a no-brainer and no-sense film. If u think that I m being too harsh then I should have recorded the audience response in the thetre. They hardly laughed 4 times in the entire 2:15 hours. The makers knew that they had made a sub-standard product and that is what explains their media blietzkrieg about this movie all over . They must have first come up with an interesting title and decided to weave a story around it. I m truly disappointed.
