This is a story of pristine confluences; of rural India's tryst with modernity; of ancient folk arts' appointment with contemporary cinema; of pure passion's rendezvous with blatant commerce.
And amidst this, a story of loyalty, friendship, greed, sacrifice and love.

Parambi gaon is home to two friends, Baja and Ranga. Apart from being local Songade (stand up comedians) they share a passion for Tamasha (rural theatre).
Tamasha is the legacy of their mothers, who had in their time initiated this art form in their village.

The entire village in general, and their small band of faithful friends in particular, are very loyal to Baja & Ranga.
The story takes a turn when Megha and her film unit reach Parambhi gaon for their outdoor shoot.
The team faces a harrowing time shooting amidst unruly crowd just when someone suggests Baja & Ranga be called to assist.
They both arrive and do what they do best. Perform!! And the entire village descends in rapt attention, thus allowing the shoot to proceed peacefully.

Megha hears about this and is keen to meet Ranga & Baja, who in turn invite her for their new Waganatya play.
The play floors Megha and her producers, who immediately decide to make a movie based on the play.
Who better than the original cast can they appoint thinks the team and offers Baja and Ranga to come to Mumbai.

Now starts Baja and Ranga's journey into a new world.

What does life have in store for Baja and Ranga when they bring their simple yet sincere passion for art to a world driven by instant success?
Will Ranga's love for Megha blossom in the face of the harsh spotlight? Will Baja and Ranga rise above the mundane or succumb under the accolades?
