There is just something wrong with sci-fi movie that I don't understand. First surrogates have Bruce Willis (big fan), a picture of the future world, and a movie about "maybe" the end of the world (love this kind of flick). From the many reason, i would've have easily like this movie. Surrogates is the type of film that at first I’m very eager to watch, but in the end it only left me with "mmm it’s OK".
After watching this movie, I felt the same way as I watched Will Smith's “I'Robot” or Charlize Theron “Aeon Flux” or Ewan Mcgregor's “The Island”. It also has the same characteristics with surrogates.
I think the problem with this type of future sci-fi movie is that present movie makers or story tellers can't really make good movie with the end of the world that involves robot or clones. Because, for me, there are a lot of movie talking about the end of the future but involves zombies or aliens that is really good. But if it involves robot, it’s the one worth watching again and again. But this movie ruined everything in the part of screenplay.
Surrogates, is action packed, easily guessed, Bruce Willis acting was OK, very serious, corny funny (funny because laughing at the some of the flick), very short (under 2 hours, I was shocked), and just OK.
Rating: Ok – 2 / 5
