Aged Nandalababu became anxious about his only son's illness. His son Khokbabu was always kept surrounded by doctors and nurses. Khokababu was like a child in intelligence and konwledge. Actually he was a young man and his weight was almost eighty kilos. Khokabau secretly informed Menoka actually what happened to him. He showed her a photograph. He had fallen in love with Uma, daughter of neighbour Gunomoybabu. Uma was young college student. Shankar was her private tutor. Both were in love. Both their parents decided to get them married. Khokababu came to know about that marriage. So he requested Menoka to stop that marriage. On the day of marriage Uma informed everybody that she wouldn't marry. Everybody became surprised hearing Uma. Shankar came to Uma and told him that still she loved him, but she wouldn't marry. After that Uma was married to Khokababu and she came to her father-in-law's house. Khokababu became busy to make Uma happy. But Uma couldn't accepted Khokababu as her husband. She still loved Shankar. But her mind responded differently. So ultimately she had to accept Khokababu as her husband.
