Sasadhar Mandal, an old farmer lands up at his nephews house to stay with them as he has no one. His two nephews and the wife of the younger nephew meanwhile plot as to how they can take away all his money as they have heard that he has a lot of money. Sasadhar arrives there and makes three friends who are just like him lonely, having sons/daughters who neglect/insult them day after day. They all have similar tales and grievances where their greedy off springs are constantly conspiring and waiting for their last days. One day Sasadhar sits back and looks back at his life back in the village. Over there, he lived with his mother who was the closest to him and everyone in the village loved him. After his mother passed away, he had decided to shift to the city, but before that he had decided to give his land to the local Zamindar Nidhiram, (some one close to Sasadhar) after receiving adequate money.
One day when Sasadhar is out, his nephews along with younger nephew’s wife open his trunk and discover it is empty. Sasadhar comes home, discovers what has happened and tells them that he has donated the money to an old age home. The nephews are furious and drive him out of the house.
