Zamindar of Bashuli, Harinarayan, had trouble with Nibaran, son from his second wife. Nibaran's torture over Gobinda, son from his first wife, had been increased. Harinarayan thought Nibaran might be changed if married. Harinarayan liked Karali's daughter Chandi. He blessed her and gave Karali word of marrying his daughter with Nibaran. But his second wife Madhuri did not agree in this marriage. Having no alternative he arranged the marriage between Gobinda and Chandi. Just after the marriage Chandi realized the whole situation that Nibaran and his mother had a wish to deprive his husband Gobinda from all of his shares of the property. She was not ready to tolerate the bad behaviour of Nibaran. One day she said clearly to Nibaran that her father-in-law had given her a golden whip to straightens an unruly ass and she won't mind using the whip if the ass tried to make wrong move. Nibaran always thought he would be the Zamindar of Bashuli as his elder brother Gobinda a was a block headed person. After his experience with Chandi and Gibinda. Chandi was also worried about her dumb husband. She took a desperate step to make Gobinda a different person. She started changing Gobinda's Psyche, his fear and his inferiority complexes. And at last Chandi succeeded. Nibaran and his mother Madhuri found one day a completely different Gobinda who can protect himself from any unjust.
