“Bold Bitch”, Artist: Sweet Angel, Label: Ecko, Producer: John Ward, Website: www.eckorecords.com
The title says it all. Sweet Angel has been making albums that are very hot sellers. Perhaps risqué material sells big. We hear her shows are all sell-outs. Her songs can be funny as well as suggestive. Check her out on the website shown above. While a lot of the material is the party type, the production of John Ward is first rate. John is one of soul music’s best. John Ward is also outstanding with his guitar work on the album. We love the first tune, “Butt Up!” “Don’t Let the Clean up Woman Pick up Your Man”, “I’m Movin’ Up” and “Good Girls Do Bad things” are all strong singles material. Ecko Records gives us another great collection of “Southern Soul.” The Memphis-based label continues to churn out competitive product for its target audience.
