    Thriller films based on Reality shows or some sort of contest having big winning prize but involving dangerous situations, etc have been quite popular in Hollywood films, here it is not up to the mark. Right from the days of Dharmendra’s ‘Shalimaar’ till date we have seen so many films on this theme, but naming one or two none of them managed to hit the right chord.     A couple goes for a vacation to Fiji, someone entices them to play a game to get 21 crores by answering just 7 questions and performing 7 simple tasks. Sounds like a combo of KBC and Roadies! And then movie runs for almost 2 hours.

    This movie stars the great actor - Paresh Rawal, the 'Sach Ka Samna' host and 1 movie that took him to stardom (Aamir) - Rajeev Khandelwal and fairly new with only few not so popular movies - Tena Desae.

The last 30 minutes of this gripping thriller has a life of its own. In fact, the end-game is so stunning and so overpowering in its message, that it makes us overlook the ingrained improbability of the rest of the film.

Not that Table No. 21 (and wait till you figure out why and how the film gets its title!) doesn't work in its totality. It does. It's a surprisingly good, almost-kickass way to start your movie-going in 2013. A goodlooking original thriller shot in eye-catching Fiji, Table No. 21 opens with a rather ambitious starry-eyed couple landing in Fiji to spend a prize holiday in the lap of luxury.
