This is much more than just a children's film. Indeed children will connect to the sentiments of the tahaan, but not common children in big cities. Children in lonely places will connect to Tahaan. The love and camaraderie between an animal like a donkey and a lonely tahaan is very well reflected in the movie. And in the backdrop of troubled Kashmir, its security, its red-eyes, its small businesses, its male chauvenism, and of-course its irritating revenge-only mentality youth have been well reflected in the story.
