Tezz rating: 0 out of 10(Pratibha Yadav wrote on 18 Apr 2012)

A man is determined to get back what was ruthlessly taken away from him while another tries to stop him from doing it. Both limit each other and are pitted by time. The story is set in a train speeding from Glasgow to London. The train will decide the fate of the two. Only one of them will succeed. Will they succeed or not? ‘Tezz’ is directed by Priyadarshan.

The trailer of ‘Tezz’ depicts a mission kind of story. It’s good and succeeds in building the suspense and creating curiosity. Hope it doesn’t turn out like ‘Players’ which created a lot of buzz before releasing but was a dud. The film may have a good opening as it stars Ajay Devgn and other good actors.

Being an action thriller, the music comes as a surprise package but not that impressive except for one or two tracks.

    About the songs:

Tere Bina Tere Bina… sung by Rahet Fateh Ali Khan and composed by Sajid Wajid. Lyrics are heart touching with romance dripping out of it. It’s superbly sung and the background score is ravishing. Listening to this song is like a treat to your ears and mind. It’s undoubtedly the best song from the music album of ‘Tezz’. It has a feel good kind of video as well. You can just lie down and relax with this song playing in the background. The magic of Rahet Fateh Ali Kha will definitely build up, so sit back and enjoy! Another version of the song is sung by Shreya Ghoshal which is again soothing. It will be remembered for long.

Tezz…. the title track is not that great and looks as if it’s added just for the sake of having a title track in the film. Lyrics and music is also not that great here. The track has both male as well as female version. Can anything in access ever be good?

Laila Laila: sung by Sunidhi Chauhan has an attitude of its own and is the result of the much hyped trend of item numbers. Although it’s choreographed well, but it hardly manages to match the standards of Munni and Shiela. Now! every song can’t get that popular right?Hope the filmmakers are listening! It’s featured on Mallika Sherawat and she is dressed in a sexy way. The beats of the song are good but the lyrics are not that impressive. Again this song is just to put glamour into the film. But sadly it will neither top the list of music listeners nor will be ignored. Well it seems it will be forgotten in a few days!

'Main Hoon Shaab' by Mohit Chauhan. This is sweet and melodious. The voice of Mohit Chauhan suits well to this song. After ‘Rockstar’, Mohit has yet again proven his talent here. Lyrics penned down by Ahmed are impressive. Audience will like the song for long.

Music album of ‘Tezz’ is not very innovative, hope the movie is! The tracks like ‘Main Hoon Shaab’ and ‘Tere Bina’ will top the list and will be liked by audiences but again they don’t have originality. Such songs are found in almost all movies these days. Such is the case that even exchanging them in some of the movies will hardly make any difference to the story!

Lets hope ‘Tezz’ doesn’t get slow after release!
