Apart from the clichéd storyline, the performances on an average had balanced the movie to at least watchable.
Aneees Bazmee has handled Akshay Kumar’s role in a very reserved way. He delivers on par balanced performance, but sadly offers nothing that we haven't seen him do before in his any comedy movies. He is brutally monotonous and remains in his soothe zone. However on par he lifts up a bit of hilarity with his free mode of acting and wins a sleepwalking screen charisma.
Bobby Deol acts quite well and is decent. Irrfan Khan, with an outstanding comic timing, is at its first-rate. He is just incredible and every single scene he comes in is so full of enjoyable and frolic that it’s a complete pleasure to watch him on-screen. His usual way of dialogue delivery and his performance justifies the highest marks amongst all. Suniel Shetty is passable and bounces a superb surprise with a charming performance.
Now if we talk about the ladies here, Rimi Sen is very surprising and impressive. She balances Irrfan Khan just too brilliantly. Sonam Kapoor looks very pretty and throws in with a fine performance. Celina Jaitly gets very little scale as she is not present from almost in the major part of the drama. Her acting is apt according to her role. Vidya Balan adds just as a celebrity value in her special appearance. Mallika Sherawat does give some hot moves but falls short to make an impression.
On the whole, good for one-time watch!
