    Thanks but No Thanks

Thank you is a study in stereotypes & clichés about the genders. While all men (without any exception) are lecherous womanizers & perpetual cheaters (they want to have fun with other women but for some reason they still want to stay married to their wives ‘cos wife, we are told, is the one they REALLY love…they just don’t realize it as yet…Anees Bazmi has reiterated this theme repeatedly since he made ‘No Entry’) , women are fools who buy into the philadering husbands’ stupid alibis & even do Karwa Chauth for them (I’m totally against any vrat for any pati whether philandering ... » read more

After a big hit of ‘No Entry’ which was released in the year 2005, Anees Bazmee came up with one super duper flop movie ‘Sandwich’ which was released in the year 2006. However then he came up with two super hit movies, ‘Welcome’ and ‘Singh Is Kinng’ which was released in the year 2007 and 2008 respectively. Now again he is back where he was there with flop movie ‘No Problem’ and now let’s see his current ‘Thank You’ shows what results.

Basic storyline is about three husbands and their respective wives, but the main plot revolves around only one husband ... » read more

Thank You - All About Morons & Their Moronism

Just when public was pleased with India's heart-warming world-cup victory, "THANK YOU" got advantage of people being more keen to watch the movie. It's been rather quiet on the Bollywood mainstream front given the build up and subsequent hangover with India winning the Cricket World Cup, but I suppose releases will be back on track soon, with one of the earliest off the blocks being Anees Bazmee's Thank You, a typical comedy broaching on the topic of marriage infidelity starring one of the most hardworking and overexposed stars in Akshay Kumar in an ensemble together with ... » read more

Aneez Bazmi is a gifted writer who understands the funny nerve of the audience. Films like Swarg, Aakhen, Laadla, Deewana Mastana, Shola Aur Shabnam, Bol Radha Bol etc in 90’s were good example of it. Later he shifted his base to direction with some good entertainers like Pyar To Hona Hi Tha, Deewangi, No Entry, Welcome and Singh is King. All these films are enough reason for a movie lover to watch this writer-directors latest film – Thank You. To add more spice to it, the film has good assembly of stars like Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol, Irfaan Khan, Sunil Shetty, Sonam Kapoor ... » read more

    Average fare!

Thank You rating: 5 out of 10

In times when comedy is being redefined with balanced and energizing sense of humor, the tastes of Anees Bazmee have reduced the importance of it to the old school of comedy. Anees had fallen short to insert some originality in the basic storyline which he had already showcased in NO ENTRY. Although nothing major happens in the 1st half, the story gets somewhat better in the 2nd half. However just when is about to come an end, the story starts prolonging with Raj and Sanjana's sad-sad relationship which is further followed by a shabby and humdrum flashback story of Akshay ... » read more

Apart from the clichéd storyline, the performances on an average had balanced the movie to at least watchable.
Aneees Bazmee has handled Akshay Kumar’s role in a very reserved way. He delivers on par balanced performance, but sadly offers nothing that we haven't seen him do before in his any comedy movies. He is brutally monotonous and remains in his soothe zone. However on par he lifts up a bit of hilarity with his free mode of acting and wins a sleepwalking screen charisma.

Bobby Deol acts quite well and is decent. Irrfan Khan, with an outstanding comic ... » read more

    THANK U DEAR

Thank You rating: 0 out of 10

    By monika tuli(28 Apr 2011)

Thank You is a sorry mess, where the only one who looks as if he is playing a part, as opposed to working on vacation, is Irrfan Khan. He brings some zing to the role, but is all too soon pushed aside by Akshay Kumar's massive ego. If there is one actor determined to commit career suicide it is he. He is playing characters that get more regressive and infantile with each passing movie. That it is accompanied by a rise in remuneration is a sad comment on the state of the film industry today-desperately in search of a star vehicle which will bring in as much money as is ... » read more

Thank You rating: 7 out of 10

it is about 3 friends. all 3 are unfaithfull to their wives and their wives are trusting loving women sitting at home and believing eveything their husbands say.
the topic is very real and i have seen it happen in reality.
akshay kumar is their saviour who comes in and shows the wives that their husbands are cheating and how to get them back on track
    The movie was good
it had many really funny scenes like sunil shetty saying to his wife;this is not fair :when she finds him in a hotel room with another woman
and irfan khans dialogues were fantastic
    akshay ... » read more
