I had the opportunity to see the film before it is released in Indian theatres and I enjoyed every moment of it. It is based on the book 'Blindside:Evolution of a game' by Michael Lewis. The is about Michael Oher most popularly known as 'Big Mike' played by Quinton Aaron. I will not go into sundry details about the movie because you all are going to watch it and information is certainly available on internet.
The exceptional true facts are the main strength of this movie. The cast and crew did a magnificant job specially Sandra Bullock and Quinton Aaron. Some scenes will definitely bring tears to your eyes and with some moments you would burst into laughter. I could relate the story to every young person who hits the headline with their astounding academic records with help of ordinary people like you and me despite the adverse situations. There are 'Leigh Anne Tuohy's in each of us but we are scared to admit it. There is a scene in the movie where Leigh is preparing a room for big Mike in her mansion and a surprized Mike murmurs 'I had never one of these before'. Leigh asks with a smile 'what you never had? A room?' Mike replies..'Naa..A bed' and the smile fades away.. I feel a true story like this triggers a wake up call in you to instill the skills of 'giving' and 'sharing'. Perhaps we should make a tradition of 'Give, share and love' and each of us should be a part of it in their own little ways..
Leigh gets a 5/5 but what do I get??? Oh..I don't know..
