Boooooohhhhhh (Thumbs down)….
The director of “I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer” has come back after 3yrs; the last one was “Stomp Yard (2007)”. The original movie “I Know What You Did Last Summer” was the super hit and ran at the box office very well. But its sequel “I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer” didn’t run at the box office very well. Infact the sequel was very bad to watch, I mean there was horror but and thriller, but it didn’t reached that level to entertain the audience, and so it turned out to be a flop. Now the same result is it with this movie. Genre is “Action & Adventure”, but turned out to be a boring movie at the end. Same reason; that level of entertainment didn’t sparkled in audience.
A group of 5 men working as an U.S. Special forces, were on a mission to destroy an illegal activity going in some jungle. But there were also number of small children’s kept as hostages, they informed their senior but he didn’t listen and the missile was on his way. So before the US military destroy the whole unit at jungle they rescued the children’s, and safely put them in one of their helicopters. But as soon as it flies, it was being shot by a missile. And this was all done by its powerful enemy called Max. They were double crossed and decided to take revenge, but before that they shown up themselves as dead, and had been blast away in that helicopter with that children’s in front of the whole world. To start up this their revenge mission, a mysterious beautiful girl ‘Aisha’, who is a secret agent from the US military, had joined them. But sooner they found out that Aisha is not working with them, but she is a spy. Also at the end they got to know that, one man between them who became unfaithful and betrayed them by joining Max in the last point.
Watch all the twists and turns in the movie and especially don’t miss out the climax.
Film has got style, mind blowing actions, great stunts, good comedy, and all the ingredients which is a must for any action movies. But they fail in just one department, which is formerly very important and essential department, which is story. There is lack of good build up and a good grip in the screenplay. Initially when the movie starts, the story hooked us, but then later on when it was moving on, it slows down its paces. The story moves from where to where, you will never noticed. And when you will notice, the film will already be the end.
Direction by Sylvain White is really appreciable. The way he brings out all the great stunts and boom actions, with lots and lots of super style; very entertaining and eye sparkling.
Performances by all the characters were just too good, no doubt in that. All the characters including Clay, Jensen, Roque, Pooch and Cougar, were just too good – fantastic. Also the beautiful actress Aisha (Zoe Saldana) has performed well. Plus the villain Max (Jason Patric) was excellent with one hand okay and one hand that of iron or something. All of them have performed well.
Music and background score were commendable and rest of all the technicalities were as good as it should be in any action movies.
Watch it at home when it comes in DVD, not worth spending heavy bucks only to see some good actions and stunts, and come out with not such good and entertaining story.
